I am loving playing the Grocery Game. It takes couponing to a whole 'notha level. I think last night was my best yet doing the GG. I saved 72 percent on my Kroger bill!
My top three deals each saved me 100 percent...that's right, they were FREE!
I'll give you an example of one:
Oral-B Toothbrushes (select varieties, 1-count), normally $2.69 each, are on sale this week at Kroger, 10 for $10. Of course, you don't have to buy 10. You can buy 1 for $1.
I had a coupon for $1 off the purchase of an Oral-B toothbrush. Thus, free.
But I didn't have just one of those coupons. I had six. So I got six toothbrushes, worth $16.14, for free.
The key is to collect multiple copies of coupons and to stock up when the price is right. Better to get six toothbrushes for free now, when I don't need them, than to pay full price for them later when I do need them.
So, check it out: www.thegrocerygame.com.
Totally unrelated, but go by McAlister's Deli today only (7/23/09) for a free iced tea promotion. (HT: Southern Savers)
