Robert Webber 1933-2007

Dr. Robert E. Webber passed away Friday, April 27 after an eight-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He produced great dialogue in the area of worship and liturgy and most recently was on staff at Northern Seminary near Chicago. Check out Northern's press release HERE.

I solemnly swear

Mike Linch and I had the opportunity to attend the inauguration of Governor Sonny Perdue today. Mike and I and 4000 others attended the event at Philips Arena this afternoon. The choir and orchestra of First Baptist Church Woodstock performed three songs and their pastor Johnny Hunt gave the invocation. I was glad to hear the Governor quote the book of Joshua and say, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). The ceremony also included a 19-gun salute (outside of course).
