Hi, my name is Chere. I am currently leading a Bible Study group on the apartment complex where I manage. We started about 18 months ago. The Lord has blessed many have come to know Christ. Our current attendance is 15-25 per week, but since the start over 75 people have filtered through the Study. Most of the members are unchurched and dealing with addictions and other major problems. My pray request is for continued spiritual growth of the members as well as a spirit of revival and renewal for those struggling with serious bondages. We live in downtown Richmond, CA which is a drug infested, murder ridden area where helicopters hover and gun shots ring out on almost a daily basis. Since most of the members are babes in Christ, I sense that I/we need help with the spiritual warfare and a special anointing to break through the darkness of many. Praying friends - please pray for us over the next few days as Steve's father fell early this am, cutting his head. There is some bleeding on the brain, which the doctors say is very serious. They will move him directly from the emergency room to hospice. The next couple of days are going to be difficult for everyone, but especially Steve and his mother. I'm trying to reconcile with my wife. We've had a tough break up last year but I still love her and want to make a new start of it. For us and our 2 kids. She believes that its in Gods hands and I don't know what sign she's waiting on but if the church could say a prayer for us, it would certainly go a long way. -- Bryan
We tithed today for the first time in over a year. I was prompted to do so when I read to my little boy about the widow who gave her two coins when she had nothing to give. Our toddler son said he wanted to give money out of his piggy bank, and I realized that even though we have no idea how on earth we will make ends meet, we need to trust the Lord enough to give Him a portion of what He's entrusted to us, and to be an example to our children who watch what we do. I was so scared putting that check in the offering today, because I don't know how we're going to have enough for the rest of the month. Please pray that the Lord will provide in MIGHTY, undeniable ways. I really need some encouragement here, and I do not want to be anxious about ANYTHING, which is why I am bringing this to the Lord in prayer. I'm grateful that His Holy Spirit used my son's toddler Bible to speak to me about His desire to see me trust Him in the area of finances. Out of her poverty the widow gave, and yet I struggle with unbelief so very much. Thanks for your prayers--they are precious to me right now.
Please place my Aunt Margie on your prayer list. she has been re-diagnosed with lymphoma after 13 years clean. We will see the oncologist on July 2 and find out more about the extent and treatments. -- Sheila

Update on Ann Swinney: I want to take a minute to thank all of you for your prayers. We’re hopeful that the pain specialist and surgeon will have more encouraging news when we see them later this week than we’ve gotten so far. On a positive note, Ann is feeling a little better today. She has been able to stand for much longer than she has so far during this whole ordeal. I’m certain that your prayers are a part of that. Thanks for all of your support and encouragement.
