Update on Alana Wall: I spoke to Nadine earlier today [Monday]. Long story short, they have had quite an adventure these past two weeks since little Alana was born. After a couple days of being at home, they noticed that there was blood in the baby’s stool – and she was having bowel movements every 15 minutes. So, doctors admitted her back to the hospital, and she was there until Friday (this past week). They have run several tests, and have performed upper and lower GI’s. They feel like the baby has an allergy to milk, so they have put her on a special formula (one that is very expensive). The day after she began the new formula, the blood had significantly decreased in her stool. But, the next day, the blood was back. Nadine and Skip had a pediatrician visit today (routine checkup), but they weren’t sure if they’d know anything else about the baby’s condition. Please continue to pray for them. They are both exhausted, and simply want little Alana to be healthy. -- C.A. Phillips
Update on Lindsay Graham: I saw Lindsay last Wednesday and was so encouraged with her improvement!!!!! She is undergoing speech therapy twice a week and doing her physical therapy every day (much to her disappointment :) ). We were able to talk and she still has her great sense of humor! Having been taken off one of her medications has made it possible for her to be awake and aware of everything! She is even able to eat soft foods like cheesecake, sorbet, etc. The best news just came today! Her mom informed me that they have received approval to have Lindsay evaluated for admission to the Shepherd's Center (www.shepherd.org) where they have a great neuro rehab program! The Shepherd's Center is located right here in Atlanta! Her physical therapist was there today and was really please with how much she has improved!!!!!! Please continue to lift Lindsay and her family up in your prayers! God is so awesome!!! -- Shelly Powell
Please pray for my parents' 5-yr-old dachshund, Oscar. He has recently been having severe seizures and we don't know what is causing them. The vet is concerned he may have a brain tumor or one on his pancreas. My parents are devastated about this, as they love him like a child. We will find out the news this week. Please pray for my parents and Oscar. -- Lori
Update on Jim Rogers: Jim has been taken off of the heart pump so his heart is actually beating on its own now. They are hoping to wean him off the respirator in the next few days. Since the pump is removed they will be able to elevate him to help clear his lungs. He still has phenomena and his fever is staying at 100.2. His white blood count is climbing when it should be decreasing. They think that there may be another infection that needs to be treated. All his other signs are good. Please continue to pray for Jim. He is still in critical condition but we have much to be thankful for and your prayers are felt and appreciated. -- Jennifer Campbell
Update on Jim Rogers: Good news! Jim is off the respirator and is talking! He has been moved from the recovery room to cardiac ICU. Keep the prayers coming! -- Jennifer Campbell
Please pray for my son, who lost his job this morning. He is a fulltime college student working his way through school while working fulltime. He is so upset and is already wondering how he is going to stay in school. I know that the Lord will hold his hand through this time, but pray that my son realizes this and has faith that the Lord is with him.
