Cry Out America!

A national organization called Awakening America Alliance is calling on every county in America to pray on Thursday, September 11 from noon to 1 p.m. at the steps of their county courthouse. This event is called Cry Out America! Locally here in Cobb County, Georgia, the event will be held at the Cobb County Civic Center courtyard in Marietta. N.S. Prayer Force Begins 9/10/08

   

The N.S. Prayer Force is the prayer ministry of NorthStar Church, and exists to forcefully advance the kingdom of God through prayer. An outgrowth of the NorthStar PrayerNet, the N.S. Prayer Force is a prayer initiative open to all praying people.

Not your typical prayer meeting, each N.S. Prayer Force event will be a time of directed prayer for our church, our community and the world. Each month promises to be different as we explore different aspects of prayer. It will be something that both new pray-ers and prayer warriors alike can enjoy and participate in. We promise not to embarrass you, but we do invite you to participate fully and get the maximum benefit from our time together. Our goal is to impact the kingdom around us through prayer, as we see God do what only He can do.

Join us for our inaugural N.S. Prayer Force event on Wednesday, September 10 in the True North Auditorium. Join us for one of two hours to fit your schedule: 7:30-8:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.-12 noon.

Come expecting God to do something, not only in our church and community, but in you!

NStar Staff, Management Team & Leaders,

This is a note to let you know that we are going to cancel all Sunday AM services for January 20, 2008.  With the freezing weather tonight & ice forming up on streets, steps & parking lots....it is just too much of a risk for our staff, volunteers & attenders.  We will be posting shortly on all of the major news channels and also on the NorthStar web-site. 

Please forward a note to your leaders and let them know as well!  Enjoy the morning tomorrow and stay off the roads!!

James 5:16 says that the “prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (NIV). At NorthStar, we believe in the power of prayer. Prayer changes things. And, most importantly, prayer changes the heart of the man or woman who sincerely prays.

I want to let you know about a new opportunity at the PrayerNet blog. We invite you to become a PrayerNet Warrior at NorthStar. PrayerNet Warriors commit to read the blog and pray for the needs listed at least three times a week. They will also receive a special email encouragement about once a month.
