1 Timothy 2:5-6 -- Accepting your ransom

1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NIV):

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time."

This is a very clear presentation of the Gospel message:

1. There is one God.
2. There is one Mediator between God and man.
3. He is the Man Jesus Christ.
4. He gave Himself as a Ransom for all men.

There is a great gulf, a huge cavernous abyss called "sin" that keeps man (and woman) from a holy, perfect God. Jesus became the Bridge across the abyss--the Only Way to God. He paid the price on the cross and gave Himself as a Ransom for all.

Paul's testimony is clear--is yours? Is it the proper time for you to accept Christ's ransom for your soul?
