1 Timothy 3:16 -- The secret to becoming godly, part 3

1 Timothy 3:16 (NIV):

"Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great:
   He appeared in a body,
      was vindicated by the Spirit,
   was seen by angels,
      was preached among the nations,
   was believed on in the world,
      was taken up in glory."

We continue looking at this 6-line hymn that Paul uses to outline the secret to godliness.

Line 3: He "was seen by angels."

Like line 2, this line also shows us Jesus' divinity. All the angels worship Him. Even the demons worship Him!

Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV):

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
      and gave him the name that is above every name,
[10] that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
      in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
[11] and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
      to the glory of God the Father."

Colossians 2:15 (NIV):

"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

Father, thank You for the victory and the power we have through the Holy Spirit because You triumphed over the cross!
